FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA – Be the Difference in Riviera Beach and Help Clean Up the Ocean on September 18, 2021!
Have you been looking to get involved in cleaning up the beaches and make a difference in Riviera Beach? September 18, 2021 is International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), which is the world’s largest volunteer effort to clean up the marine environment. Every year, volunteers from over 100 countries descend on local beaches, rivers, lakes, and canals to show their commitment to cleaner waterways. The Ocean Conservancy, the world’s largest organization focusing exclusively on the health of the marine environment, has sponsored this annual event for the past 36 years. The Riviera Beach CRA and Riviera Beach CDC invite you to come out to Ocean Walk to clean up the Singer Island Beach area. Registration opens at 7:30am and the clean-up starts promptly at 8am. The event lasts until 11:30am. This is a great opportunity to get outside, help the community, and even get some community service hours, in a socially distanced, safe manner.

For more information on the event, please reach out to the Riviera Beach CRA at 561-844-3408. Please pre-register for the event on Eventbrite at https://bit.ly/2021-Coastal-Cleanup.

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within the district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances and new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area. The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts. This includes making investments of public funds in key infrastructure improvement projects that have the capacity to act as a catalyst for additional private funding and development, create jobs and help to improve the quality of life for city residents.
