MEDIA ADVISORY
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA – City of Riviera Beach and Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Showcased all the Services Available to the Community at “Neighborhood Services 2021”

As you walked in the Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center on Monday, May 17, 2021, the smell of popcorn filled the air as the City of Riviera Beach and Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency showcased all the available services that are available to the residents of the community of Riviera Beach. There were twenty-one departments and agencies that were available to speak with residents that evening from 6pm-7:30pm.

The demand for services right now is huge with all of us coming out of the pandemic and we wanted to make sure our residents knew what was available to them. There are so many opportunities for them to get involved in this great city. This event was a way to educate our community on services and have a fun time together.

We had about 100 residents attend the event. They received bags of goodies when they walked in the door and had two raffle opportunities to win giftcards. Every thirty minutes, twenty-five dollar Home Depot gift cards were raffled off to two people and at the end of the night, if they were able to speak with all of the departments, they had a chance to win a one-hundred dollar Lowe’s gift card. It was a fun event with free popcorn, macaroni and cheese from Rafiki Tiki, frozen treats from City Sweets, and coffee.

We are looking forward to the next event like this in the fall. For more information on services in the CRA District, please call 561-844-3408.

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within the district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances and new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area.

The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts. This includes making investments of public funds in key infrastructure improvement projects that have the capacity to act as a catalyst for additional private funding and development, create jobs and help to improve the quality of life for city residents.
