RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA – Riviera Beach Launches Residential and Business Beautification Program

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is thrilled to announce the launch of the CRA Residential and Business Beautification Program, a new initiative designed to celebrate and encourage property enhancements that elevate the city’s charm and appeal.
The CRA Property Beautification Awards Program recognizes the dedication of residents and business owners who invest in their properties to enhance curb appeal. Whether it’s landscaping, exterior painting, facade improvements, or signage upgrades, this program aims to highlight the transformative power of beautification in creating a more vibrant and inviting community.

“This program is about celebrating the pride and hard work of our residents and businesses,” said Gedel Merzius, CRA Executive Director. “By recognizing these efforts, we hope to inspire others to take part in creating a more beautiful city for everyone.”

Key Dates for the Beautification Program:

April 20, 2026: Program officially begins, and applications open. Residents and business owners in eligible CRA Districts, including Park Manor North and Riviera Beach Heights, can start their projects and submit applications online or pick up hard copies at the CRA Office.

May 30, 2026: Deadline for project completion and application submission.

June 1 – June 30, 2026: Evaluation period, during which CRA staff and community representatives will conduct site visits and assess projects based on landscaping, exterior design, and overall curb appeal.

August 2026: Winners will be announced during the regular CRA meeting, with the Mayor presenting prizes to the Top 3 properties.

Prizes and Recognition:

The Top 3 residential and business properties will receive cash prizes and community recognition for their outstanding contributions to beautifying Riviera Beach.

How to Apply:

Eligible properties in the CRA District are encouraged to apply. For more information and to submit your application, visit rbcra.com/beautification-competition or pick up an application at the CRA Office.

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within the district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances and new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area. The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts.
