New Art Gallery at the Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center

The Riviera Beach CRA, City of Riviera Beach and Artist Showcase of the Palm Beaches partnered together to celebrated Black History Month with a series of art discussions on “Civil Rights Reflected in Art & Culture.” The series was kicked off on February 5, 2021 at 5:30pm with a live discussion at the Riviera Beach Marina Village with a small invited audience. The entire series was available to watch through Zoom with playbacks posted on the Riviera Beach CRA social media channels.

This was a great event to showcase local artists and bring art and culture to Riviera Beach. Dr. Catherine Lowe and Ms. Barbara Chieves took us through all of the artwork and what they feel the perspective was from the artists. The exhibit was open to the public by appointment only on Mondays and Wednesdays during the daytime and Tuesday afternoons and evenings in the month of February.

We are excited to continue this partnership with Artists Showcase of the Palm Beaches with the Women’s History exhibit, which opened on March 7, 2021 at the Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center. We have extended the hours to see the gallery by appointment only by adding Sunday morning appointments. Call 561-881-7439 to schedule your time to see the beautiful gallery.

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency

The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within the district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances and new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area.

The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts. This includes making investments of public funds in key infrastructure improvement projects that have the capacity to act as a catalyst for additional private funding and development, create jobs and help to improve the quality of life for city residents.
