$60 Million on the Way for Palm Beach County Businesses

The Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners Approved the CARES Restart Business Grants Program to Assist Businesses Hardest Hit by Covid-19

May 21, 2020, RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA – On May 15, 2020, Palm Beach County made available $60 million of its $261 million Federal Cares Act allocation to Palm Beach County businesses adversely affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic. This first-come, first-serve program dedicates $50 million to businesses with 25 employees or less and $10 million to businesses with greater than 25 employees.

The Riviera Beach CRA and the City of Riviera Beach urge all interested District-area businesses as well as Riviera Beach businesses to apply as soon as possible as the limited funding is expected to run out quickly. For eligibility and guidelines to apply, visit http://pbcgov.com/hes. Individual grants of up to $25,000 are available to Palm Beach County businesses forced to close or limit their operations that are planning to “restart” based on the county’s phased re-opening plan.

Documents required to apply include: a fully executed application from the county’s online portal, certifications, affirmations and acknowledgements, tax returns, payroll reports, an active Palm Beach County Business Tax Receipt, and an active registration on SunBiz. These documents will be required to be uploaded into the system by the applicant. The county’s online application process is expected to launch on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 8 am.
