RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA – Equip Yourself to “Standout Against the Competition” in the Job Skills Workshop Series
The City of Riviera Beach, Riviera Beach CRA, Riviera Beach CDC, Fifth Third Bank, and NextJobs partnered together for a free three-part job skills workshop series virtually starting on April 13, 2021 through April 27, 2021. This class had new topics weekly such as “Make Your Resume Standout,” “Preparing to Interview Well,” and “Answering Interview Questions.”
With these weekly classes, NextJobs gave them access to their online portal to get more information to help crafting their resume, getting questions answers, and even offered free one-on-one job coaching sessions. It was a great opportunity for the community to get prepared for the job fairs that are ongoing around Riviera Beach and Palm Beach County. With businesses opening up again fully, they are hiring new staff and looking for great people.
We want to thank Fifth Third Bank for donating twenty-five-dollar gift certificates that were given away during the classes to some of the people that attended. The City of Riviera Beach is always looking for ways to get job advancement opportunities to the community.
The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency
The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is at the heart of dramatic transformations underway within the district. Formed in 1984 by the Riviera Beach City Council, the Riviera Beach CRA provides funding for a wide scope of projects that incentivize economic growth through business attraction and retention; finances and new and improved infrastructure for real estate projects; and generally works to expand the tax base by creating a welcoming environment that eliminates blight and improves the perception of safety in the area.
The Agency’s main mission is to guide the city’s redevelopment efforts. This includes making investments of public funds in key infrastructure improvement projects that have the capacity to act as a catalyst for additional private funding and development, create jobs and help to improve the quality of life for city residents.
